Default 1/24 BFG Letter painting

Has anyone painted the lettering on the sidewalls of the RC4WD 1/24 BFG tires? What paint works best to do this? If you have pics, that would be awesome!

In the past, I've used Testers flat white enamel on model car tires and it looks great, but they're just static models, so no rubbing off. I tried the gloss white once and it was always sticky and would come off with the slightest touch.

I know there's no way to stop the rubbing off, but what would look good initially? Should I just use the flat white enamel again?

TIA

Tire paint at the auto parts store, used for 1:1
Many use acrylic hobby paint, but it will rub off quickly

Thanks for that info mikemcE.

I've used that on the 1.9 Proline KO2's and it worked pretty well...the only problem I see with that is, the paint markers are pretty fat. Worked ok on the 1.9's but not sure if I'd be able to accurately do these little 1/24 tires. Does the tire paint come in a jar that may used with a brush?

Not anymore but going slow and use a line of tape to locate the edge. You might load up a fine brush off the tip

Came across these as I was searching around yesterday...

This is the article where I found them...looks like they did a pretty good job.

Fun with RC: White Lettering on Tires

I also found some Sharpie Extra Fine White Paint Markers on Ebay that I might try in the future.

I will give your idea a go if these don't work out. Thank you for the info.

So I got the pens in and had time today to get them painted up. I started with .10mm but it was letting out too much ink all at once and then that would dry and bunch up while I was doing the letters. I switched to the .08 and it worked much better. I like how they turned out using these Gelly Roll ink markers, but I don't think they'll last very long in the wild. Certainly, will be good for photo op's and they'll look awesome under my 1/25 Dodge body I'm working on. I have a set of the KM2's also, that I can try the Sharpie markers on and see how they work out.
