| fenders?
Do you feel that the toyota body/ fenders would need to be cut up to work well with our crawlers? I think the goal should be to produce a body that does not reqiure too much alteration. Possibly an already modified toyota body or possibly the flat fenders vehicle I see mentioned.

I think the fenders should be left unmodified so that you can cut them any way you like depending on tire size. A larger, 16"-18" wheelbase would be really cool! |

I can visualize this in my head but nore sure if it is possible. I think it would be awsome to make some style of Buggy tubular body out of lexan. The paint job would really be the determining factor on how good this type of body would look. You would have to paint all the edges and corners one color to make it look like the tubes and then the rest of the body to look like the aluminum skins that they mount between the tubes. here is a picture of what i am imagining. this rig is sweet. Some people on here may know whose this is. Last edited by Xtreme RC; 03-24-2005 at 10:56 PM. |

A old yota, and a sami would be the sh!t. I would buy both. You need to make them in 2 sizes, 1 for the big crawlers-15"-18", and then one for the scale guys- 11"-13"WB.

I'd have to say flat fender,4runners84-89 or 92-98(something different) a 4 door ZJ would be bitchen!! Or hell why not a willys pickup for the 15"-18"WB crowd!! |

My vote would be for any of the Toyota bodies. I'd like to see them in a large scale, like comparable to the 1/8 HPI or TerraCrusher size.

the more i think about it I'd like to see a willys pick-up truck body for the 15"-17"ish WB of even an M38,M715,and an M34 ambulance would be cool too like the cheap truck challenge 4 wheel and off road are doing

Go for the short school bus. It would bring back old memories for a lot of us on here. My vote goes for the 4-runner.

Well out of the ones I've seen so far list I think the top of my list would be: first gen 4runner! (Since I thats my 1:1 trail rig) but making a Can-back for it might be a challange.. Flat fender Jeep Jeepster Samuri Suzuki IH Scout But for a true Crawling body I think we need something that has large wheel wells with no bumpers and something that is narrow. The sami would be hella cool but I think it would look really weird since sami's are so small it would be hard to place on a RC properly. A liberty would be cool but only for the hood for scale tubers IMO. |
