I will receive pics of the mold by Tues. and will post. The WB is for a 1/10 scale and he has not made them for over 10 yrs. I will get an accurate measurment when I see it in person. He does not remember what year he based it on he just told me an 80's Toyota truck. Remember he has been stricty an oval and touring car Mfg. for quit some time so convincing him of this project was not easy since he barely has the time to make molds he wants to do. I just hope what he has is what we are looking for. Last edited by a_vdk; 03-26-2005 at 08:56 PM.

alex, great idea. i hope they go for it. For me, i think the coolest thing would be a big body that would make a 16" wheelbase rig look scale. That would be sweet!!!!!!! thanks for your efforts, i hope it works out.

1/10 scale will be like 9.5-10.5" in wheelbase. If it turns out good, I will more than likely buy it for my Pajero, but will be way to small for my clod |

I am very sure i have had this body that he is gonna base it on before. It was kinda like a prerunner 2nd gen regular cab short wheelbase yota.I got it on a stampede and it fit pretty, not real sure of the measurments but it was about the wheelbase of a stampede almost dead on.I am not 100% sure that this is the body but i really think it is.I almost forgot The fenders were flared front and rear.

now that a body has been picked will it be made from .040 lexan or .060 lexan i know proline has pretty much switched to all .060 on the maxx and bigger trucks............i have a GMC sierra maxx body(.040) and the new F-150 for the MGT(.060) and i would much rather have the .060 anyday just for durability. The ford is seeming to hold up MUCH better and is not cracking as easily ...........................again just something to think about!!

I would, but I have been suspended. I just could not keep my comments to myself They are kind of sensitive over there. I would recommend that you post it over there if you think they would be interested. The more people that show interest the better for all of us.

Hey there MR. Smarty pants. I know how to use a tape measurer. But do you know how to use a calculator and multiply? Stock wheelbase for a 1st gen Toyota truck is 101.77" 101.77 divided by 10 = 10.177. Sooooooooo, a true 10th scale model of a 1st gen short bed pickup would have a wheelbase of approxamately 10.177". Or, a long bed Toyota has a wheelbase of 110.24 so divide that by ten and you got 11.024" Thanks for playing. You loose Oh and my 1/10 scale Pajero body (which is way more true to scale than any other truck) is 9.5" Last edited by AdamF; 03-26-2005 at 11:07 PM.

who gives a flyin rats' ass if its scale? I ain't into that scale look. If i wanted a scale look, i would build a model. My Emaxx Body ( which is a 1/10th truck) is set at a 12" WB, which is bigger than your little stomper Pajero just for the record Mr. smarty pants, a 1st gen truck has WB of 101" not 10" and a Ext. cab is 112". Long beds are fugly, so i really don't care about a long bed.

well what would the WB of a bulu 12"? whats a TCS 16" ? if so, the middle would be 14" its kinda hard to compare a bulu to a fullsize rig. either the body will be too long or the body too short. |

Well,I'm glad it's a Yota body we're talking about here, not some junky ol' Jeep or Sammi Hopefully it's a 2nd gen. X-cab Yota truck, like my 1:1 rig I could care less about the scale of it. As long as it's a 1:10 or 1:8 scale you'll have my money. I'm running a 18.25" WB and my sons is a 17" WB. Neither body we use fit to scale and they're both 1:8 scale. Honestly,I'd say if you used a 16" WB most guys would still buy it. Most of the time they get cut up some and are made to fit anyway. Even if it was 14 to 15" WB I'd still buy it just becuase it's a Toyota body. I'd give anything to have a 2nd gen. Toyota body like my 1:1 rig.
