I am attempting to gain the interest of a well known local lexan r/c body manufactuer McAllisrer Racing. If we give him some ideas and express our intrest and need of a crawler specific body he might produce one. I have given him a link to this site and thread so let him know what you would like to see in a crawler body. Possibly one that would fit all our needs from The TCS Extreme to X-Factor conversion. Please also remember that it is an expensive process to make a quality lexan body so alot of one type will need to be made to be worth it and I wiil buy at least 20 myself of what ever is decided. So think hard and post on:)

79-83 & 84-88 Toyota pick ups. You'd sell a ton of them. Damn toyota freaks!
willy's Jeep (Flat Fender)
Jeepster Body
87-95 YJ Wrangler body
Jeep Liberty body
Suzuki Samurai

Can someone post a pic of the toyota body that you would like it modeled after?

WRMorrison 03-24-2005 08:31 PM

ditto for a flatfender jeep (any model would be fine by me)

I didn't know that they were local? I bought a NASCAR Monte Carlo of their brand a month or two ago at the LHS here in Mesa.

F the toyotas!
We need a sami.

TXT-1Tyler 03-24-2005 08:34 PM

Toyota! I would DIE for a 1st generation 4Runner! They are the classic Toyotas. The most desirable Toyota ever made is a 1985 4Runner, solid axle, EFI. That would be the best body to make! But a truck would work too!

See my website for pics of my truck

and here's a link with a TON of Toyota trucks, click on each generation to see pics

and finally some good crawler Toyota pics from pirate4x4

That should be plenty!

A scale Bronco II bobbed/dovetailed Front and Rear would be better than anything.

moonbuggy 03-24-2005 08:57 PM

certainly need a sami body

Please keep the bashing of others choices to a minimum and be as specific as possible. So far I see mostly 1st. generation toyota's and Samari's as possible favorites. I will set up a poll as soon as we have quite a few posts to help narrow it down.

What about licensing? How will he go about that? Or will he just leave out the emblems or something?

bigsuzuki86 03-24-2005 09:23 PM

I would love to have something that looks hardcore. Meaning bobbed and having a stock SWB so it looks deadly with a 16" wheelbase.

bigred 03-24-2005 09:26 PM

SAMY SAMY SAMY.........did i mention SAMY.

also a willys jeep flat fender would be cool.

If he looks at Real 1:1 rigs for some ideas he can cut the hell out of it like we do in 1:1 then it won't matter.

badtodabone 03-24-2005 09:43 PM

jeep cherokee

bigsuzuki86 03-24-2005 09:46 PM

A cherokee would be BadAZZ. I had not even thought of that!
