Default Goliath leans to one side

This has been the problem for the whole time:

Today I got rid of the triangles because I hoped it would solve the problem, but no... It in fact made it worse.

I think the car should be lower to get rid of the leaning-issue.

We had some discussion with a friend about this and we came up with the idea of making hoops. It would change the car quite a bit and I don't think it would make it worse. It would definately make it lower .

Any ideas before I start the project? Will the hoops help? Where should I place them? Is making the hoops really the only way (I've measured the links very many times)?

Thanks,
Tomi

Make sure your top is triangulated in and you bottoms triangulated out.

Mount your lower links farther out on your axle. What I did was drill out the hole for the slotted screw to accept an M3 sockethead screw and mounted it on the bottom side of the axle with a locknut on top. That will give you the necessary triangulation and should help with that wicked torque twist you have right now.

I also considered doing hoops myself. Mount them on the chassis so your shocks are slightly more vertical will help with the torque twist, but you still need to move those lower links outward regardless or your suspension will never cycle properly judging from the other photos in your gallery.

Didn't quite get this, sorry.

K_B, thanks for the tip. Will try that soon!

Some progress. I moved the lower links to the ends of axles and put back the Revo cantis. It made the car almost driveable (but still leans). Hoops will be tried too as soon as I get a new set of diff gears to the front axle! Yep, broke them during the cantitests.

Anyone know the price for DTC41000 (GPM part number for Delrin gears)?

Now I have a lot of time to design the hoops =).
