BigMike,

You just hit the friggin mother load of crawler information. I'm a newbie too I spent at least two months just reading and researching.

Check out the bulletin board and search swear to god it's all here for the taking.

You will find very inspiring threads, search for your truck specifically for ideas.:arrow::idea::arrow::lol::arrow:"thum bsup"

How are the wheels mounted and how well does it turn with the stock steering?

Welcome to rcc. First off the search button is your best friend here. Second off when you get a little more experienced you should legenthen the wb on the nylint to make it fit the body.Good luck with r/c crawling

i agree it does need to be lengthen th w/b and i just dont see the stock steering turning the hoss wheels to well but you have to decide how much time and money you want to spend on a nylint but all in all i say you are on the right track and well i like it"thumbsup""thumbsup" and i have to throw this in :badger:

the stock servo doesnt really work that great. ive streched it about 2 inches in the front and and starting to add a speed controller and servo, the wheels i cut the hubs off the old nylint wheels and epoxyed them on to the hpi wheels. ill post some new pics tonight...also im having a proplem on mounting the steering servo, any info? thanks!:)

those wheels look a little big.does it put stress on the motors?

ALUMOUT 08-04-2007 01:01 PM

u should narow the tires but make it wider by hooking extensions to the axles.should help alot"thumbsup"

bigmike07 08-04-2007 07:21 PM

thanks ill try that, yes the motors seem like they are straining.
