Default Robinson Racing Steel Spur.

Anyone here used one?

Thinking of getting one for my crawler, along with a SS 12T pinion.

For what Tranny? I ran one on a t-maxx that had way to much of a motor that it would strip the plastic spur immediatly. For a crawler I don't really see the need. If your slipper is set right you won't have an issue. Also if you are not running a slipper then the spur is the "cheap" weak link in the chain that is fairly easy to replace. I prefer a spur gear replacement over craking the tranny or diffs.

It'll be going on an E-Maxx trans with the slipper. Its a steel spur gear, so I don't know how you ran one on a T-Maxx with way too much of a motor and stripped the plastic spur.

It should work good. I had good luck with it. If you are having issues with the plastic spur then go with it. I prefer this one though the slipper is better.

I havn't ran it yet so no issues, but right now it has a 66T spur and a 15T pinion with a Hyperion 3025 with a 5mm shaft. Smallest pinions I can find with a 5mm bore are 10T in brass and 12T in SS. Thought the steel spur would hold up better. But at $20 bucks, I could buy a few plastic spurs. The steel spur shouldn't have the wobble to it either I'm guessing.

Which hyperion the -08? That's the one I am running through a pede tranny with a plastic spur. I turned the output down by running the motor and hitting it with a fine file until a standard pinion would fit. I agree though about the price of the steel spurs.

I like that one in the link you posted. The ring gear is replaceable.
Not sure about the 08 but its the bigger one.
