| sway bar
What's a good material to make a sway bar out of? It's for my 1:6 scaled rubicon jk. I want to stick a functional sway bar in the rear for stability.

| Could work but coat hanger wire doesn't have memory. Will it return to it's original shape?

I would use music wire. It's available in various sizes so you can "tune" it by making a thinner or thicker bar.

http://www.smallparts.com/products/descriptions/smw.cfm This stuff? How thick you think i should go? It's a 1:6 scaled 15lb rig with clod axles and savage shocks (black springs).

I'm not sure on the size you should try. Maybe get a few different sizes and see what works best. It's fairly cheap, and your LHS should have it in stock. Here is a tower link with a bunch of different sizes. Tower's prices look sky high, but it looks like they onlt sell it in large quantities. My LHS sells 36" lengths indivdiually, and they are only like a buck or 2 per length. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...+WIrE&FVPROFIL=++ |

$45 for a hpi baja sway bar kit including butt loads of mounting hardware. im sure there are other vehicles that use sway bars that would help your rig. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...SWAY&search=Go |

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLZY3&P=7 That's the only one that i found so far that would fit my clod axles (6"). There are alot of sway bars listed but most of them don't list the length.
