Default U-joint popping out of driveshadt yoke.

I'm having a bad problem with my traxxas metal u joints on my R2 popping out of the driveshaft yoke.
Both front and rear are doing it.

What are you guys doing to prevent this? Am I gonna have to go with Punisher shafts or the like?

Once they pop off a time or two, you will need to replace the plastic part. The punisher shaft will defiantly fix the problem, but then there are other things that will break. Something in the driveline has to give.

Some guys use a zip tie/cable tie to keep the shaft from popping off.

I have the same thing happening. R2... brushless... geared low.

Seems to be a matter of too much torque. That combined with harsh driveline angles. I know guys who never have theirs pop... but they aren't running an R2. That being said, I'm not even sure that straighter/shallower diveline angles would help when you have an over abundance of torque... something has to give. Once the pop loose the first time they are too chewed/floppy to ever stay in consistantly again.

There are the bigger revo shafts? The punishers worry me... just going to break something else ;)

For the money, the Revos will hold up as well or better then the punishers. We have a couple guys who go through punishers on a regular basis. One problem I have had with the Revos is that the e-clip gets ground out and then the pin falls out. One fix would be Shoe Goo but I ended up just using a 3mm nut and bolt with some thread lock. The other problem I have had is attaching to the pinion. The shaft is smaller than the Revo yoke end and tends to wiggle lose. The Maxx shafts fit better but the Revo U-joints are stronger.

This worked for awhile for me. Good fuse, usually breaks before the pinion.

Its just a small brass sleeve slide over the shaft far enough to keep the joint from spreading. Use a drop of CA to hold it in place. After I fixed them popping out I started breaking the shafts fairly often and went to T-maxx shaft's. Now I break pinons usually 1 per day crawling

Is this what I should do on the BMV Chip? I can't keep the front driveshaft on for the life of me.
