The big differences will be in suspension and axle width. The suspension works terrible in stock form on the Twin Force. The way the links mount to the axle and frame binds the suspension from any articulation. The TXT suspension, out of the box, is much better. However, you can easily convert the Twin Force to a better 4 link design. The width of the Force axles are much wider than the TXT. The Force axles are about the same width as an XFactor's axles. In some cases, the width is great and on the other hand, the narrow axles of the TXT are beneficial in some cases. Clearance under the axles is good on both trucks but favor the Twin Force slightly. Kyosho makes a spool for their diffs but Tamiya does not for the TXT. Hope those points help.

Well i would personally go with the TXT-1 just because it has awsome artic. and it looks way better, cosmetically, and has better aftermarket support, than the Twin. jugg_crawler

well its easy to be different also if u get a txt. there is already so many aftermarket upgrades for it to make it look like no one elses. fabricating your own parts also makes it custom and unique

The TwinForce is definitely not a crawler. The way they have you set it up electronicaly it's too fast, (TowerHobbies lists a SuperRooster for it, but I read somewhere that's a mistake and you're suposed to use a Novak EVX, which I got.) I supose using the Rooster would slow it down, though I don't know what the motor's specs are... Dirk could you expand on improving the TwinForce's suspension please? I want to keep my truck's speed, but I can see where a better suspension would help.

The problem with the suspension is in the links. It uses a two link system. The link mounts to the chasis and only pivots up and down. First of all, at the chasis mount, there needs to be a rod end of some sort to allow twisting movement in any direction. At the axle end, the link "captures" the entire axle tube. The axle can not and does not have any articulation. It can only move in a straight vertical plane. That end needs the most work. A new mount must be made to accomodate a rod end. You then need to make some type of upper links or a link to eliminate axle rotation and horizontal movement. Some type of a three or four link design! All of this would be very easily done and I believe that a company even has a kit to accomplish this. If you can re-do the suspension, put a decent steering system on it, gear it way down and toss in the spools that Kyosho makes for it, you'd have a decent start!
