HPI has this at the RCX show.

There's more on the RCU forums.

I'll be getting one of those for sure!

Or better yet something worth doing into a crawling rig.

That is a sweet body though. Reminds me of the Kyosho quads.

They do build race vehicles, the savage wasn't meant to be just a backyard basher, it was meant to race. I'm waiting for HPI to release the Revo/LST killer, mayb if you actually could understand things, you'd known what I meant.
i have a savage 4.6, never raced it, dont plan too. it stomps all over maxx's and is the most duarble truck i've ever owned or seen.

they aren't bringing anything new out because they dont need to, the savage is the best basher ever and until something better comes out it will stay the way it is.

HPI is in the business of making money, just like Traxxas and Losi.

Traxxas has dominated the RTR and nitro MT racing world

Losi has dominated the off-road electric world

and HPI has dominated the bashing world

why would HPI spend tons of money to come out with a new truck when they could make even more money selling the one they already have?

anyway, the body looks cool. but the first rollover would toss the rider and break the handlebars.

Also, I know of no savage that yu can hit a curb at full throttle, and not break anything.

That being said, Revo is better. As with the savage, your going to bend a shock, or break something. I own a Revo, had a maxx, gettin a LST in the next week, and my friend has a SH .28 Savage...so I know what everything is capable of!
the Revo has nothing on the savage when it comes to durability! wtf are you thinking?

no truck can withstand full-throttle into a curb, but a savage will withstand 1000x more than the Revo.

What hpi's are you lookign at? HPI made it's name building highend touring cars for raceing. All the ones i have owned have been more for raceing because they are so fragile.

some people think chevys are great trucks, some people think fords are great trucks and still others think dodges are great trucks.
I think savages are great, but my friends maxx is pretty cool too.
My jugg crawler on the other hand is way more fun and thats is why I'm on this forum and not on one of the savage forums, I don't care if your maxx, revo or lst can beat up my savage.
p.s. I havn't run my savage since last fall, but, I run the jugg almost daily.

Jason, what is the wheelbase/approximate scale on that body?

thats awesome! but i don't know how long that driver will last with me behind the wheel! Landing upside down off a 6 foot ramp will take him right out!

all i know is i wouldn't choose any other truck other than a savage to bash with. Damn things can take some severe abuse. The traxxas products didn't last too long when bashing and that's fine with me, they can go win out on the track as much as they want, i'll keep my savage.

a buddy of mine was running his savage through a parking lot in the distance and didn't see one of the little islands. slammed his savage full throttle into the curb. we looked at each other like "oh shit!!!" Broke one screw on the bumper. Kept bashing the rest of the day. The savage NEVER let us down. they always run, no matter how much you beat the crap out of them.

i'd guess it's about 13 or so inches. it fits the Savage nice and snug, my savvy measured 13" axle to axle, so there ya go.
