Default Bruiser u bolt flip.

What are people using to flip their Bruiser u bolts. I found this thread
post picks of bruiser axle setups But it doesn't help with ground clearance, it just takes away the sharp edges of the bolts.

I was looking to make u bolts like a 1.1 rig, that are round on the bottom and could wrap around the axle. That way you have more clearance and nothing to grab the bottom.
I tried bending some threaded stock but it just kept breaking on me.
I've looked at 2 different hardware stores and 1 craft store, but they don't carry anything small enough.
Any Ideas?

That's exactly what I was trying to do. The thread stock i was using would only bend about to a 50 degree angle then break. I might not have been steel, because it broke real easy. I will try and find what you used.
Thanks!

Be carefull, I broke one of mine. They seem to break at the 90* bend. Take your time.

So I bent the stock u bolts. It was easy, took only about 30 minutes. I bent them around the drill bit. They are still a little flat on the bottom, but big improvement over the stock way.
I still need to make new spring pads. When I flipped the pads upside down the nuts would fit in them, but I had know way to tighten them. Because there was no room for a wrench or a socket to fit. So I out them right side up for now.
