Default brake tubing to aluminum?

Want to start building a scale rig and like the shape of the X-trail. I want to build off it with 3/16 brake tubing. Hows is the best way to attach it? Does anyone make a metal look-alike X-trail that I can weld the tubing straight to?

you could make mounting tabs at the ends of the cage, rock sliders or whatever you want to bolt the tubing to the frame thats what i see alot of on here

Maybe insert 3mm allthread into the 3/16 tube, braze, and attach it to the frame.

You can always braze the brake line to the x-trail instead of welding it. Accomplishes the same thing, you'll just have to use a torch instead of a MIG/TIG if that's what you're using for your tube work.

Yes you can. You don't melt either base metal when brazing. And Brass has a lower melting point than both of them. You can't WELD them together. Welding and brazing are two different operations. You aren't so much sticking steel to aluminum as sticking steel to the filler, then the filler to the aluminum or vice-versa.

i understand how brazing works and that your not melting the material being brazed just the filler material i was simply stating that in order to get the filler hot enough the aluminum would melt first it has a melting point lower than brass
