Default Offset-pumpkin axles?

I'm thinking of making a scale Formula Off-road style RC. I'm wanting to have the front axle pumpkin offset from center, like the real thing, so that I can run the motor up front and still have clearance everywhere - It'll be a speed machine so the suspension and COG will be low, not jacked up like a crawler. I'm thinking of about a 12" wheelbase, but probably a bit wider than standard 2.2 crawler - track perhaps 12" also - though much of this will come from wide tires (I have my eye on the 3" wide 2.2" truck pull from IMEX, which isn't really scale but boohoo)

The bruiser front axles might be a good bet, does anybody know if they are up to any amount of torque? I'll probably run hi-power brushless.

Otherwise, what axle would be a good candidate for having one side shortened considerably? Scaleish looking is preferred.

Thanks!

Or alternatively, a strong but narrow axle which could have one side lengthened

hey appreciate your efforts guys I've decided to track down some mad force axles. I didn't check the for-sale for three reasons - a) I couldn't coz i'm a lowly nobody; b) I'm on the other side of the world to most of you and international postage is lots and the exchange rate is currently really bad; c) I want to build them up and cut them down myself.

thanks guys!
