I've been watching it live also. Crazy they can't find the other shooter! Unreal that someone could kill and injure that many on the biggest base without being killed right away! |

Looks as if he was tying to get out of being deployed. He was a psych at Walter Reed before being transferred to Tx. He worked with returning soldiers from the Middle East.

Thought I read on MSNBC that he had recently converted to Islam, kinda wonder if he was going to use the same reasoning Mohammed Ali used to get out of Viet-Nam and have it not work out as well.

supposedly on the radar for 6 monthes due to posts he made online about suicide bombings being the equivalent of diving onto a gernade to save your buddies..12 dead 31 wounded

From what I understand, Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan, has been talking crazy for a while now, since being given orders for deployment. He was even interviewed by a senior officer concerning things he has talked about and statements given to fellow soldiers, he was told to straighten up and stop the nonesense, so they knew about his feelings and spoken intentions for some time, and now this tragic event takes place. Drastic action is taken when a first grader shows up at the school cafeteria with a plastic knife his mom gave him to cut his luch meat, only sporks are allowed. Anybody else find this just a wee bit ironic? |
