| Bens Fj 40 build My first time with styrene. next time i will use all thicker material. I figured i'd keep the weight down, but that stuff is real light anyway. used some thick craft paper for templates and took no time. Real easy |

Back in the day before all the guys started using styrene for them most people would just use an old tire that they would cut up and turn inside out. I know some have used trimmed paint can tops also. Here is a link to a friends build that is using styreneBGGruff's TR (Stage 2 Courier) |

I cut TLT tires...they work perfect with the wide side at the opening and the small side toward the shocks...

I just made these last night with Huggies Baby Wipes container. Good square profile for the SCX-10 TR. Now I just need to paint them. You can tell which one was my first one..... |

| The innr fender wells on mine are just styrene I glued into the hard body and trimmed to follow the contour of the chassis. Worked slick! |

The cheapo throw ziplock lunch containers from the super market are hard to beat. You can often get 5 for well under 3 bucks and they come in multiple sizes and depths that is what I did in this build and will do on my current honcho build. SCX10 (Project Class Two Cherokee trail rig) |

Here you can see that the inner wells lock into place. Opted to also make my fender wells removable. |
