Is it Styrofoam or plaster or something else. Because I'm looking for the best way to build a micro course myself and yours just looks so realistic.
I would appreciate it very much if you would tell me.

Hey hugo,
im glad you like it, i actually have two tracks because im working on the best/cheapest way my self.
the approach that has worked the best for me so far was;
1) a light peice of ply wood
2)Map out what you want with styrofoam <sp?
(it doesnt have to be perfect because you have to go back and glue it down. hot glue works best.
NOTE, the more jagged/rugged it is the more texture you'll have when you paper mache')
3) once you have it the way you want it, make your paper mache' to cover the styrofoam.
4)start with elmers glue in the 16oz bottle, thin out flour using warm to hot water until its the same or close to consistency of the elmers glue, then mix em together)
NOTE, after the first track i realized shredding the crap out of the paper is only time consuming, and actually makes it hold up worse...
5)When you are satisfied with your paper mache' layout let it sit over night in a warm dry spot.
6)Now you want to cover all your mache' with grout or masonry repair cement i used; "UGL DRYLOK fast plug hydraulic cement". I like this stuff because it makes some neat scale effects when you roll over, scrape, burn out ect. and it all wipes right off. if you dont like the dust you can spray clear coat over the whole thing.
7) Wait to test out untill you know it's dry, cant stress that enough! You don't want to ruin all your hard work and rig at the last minute.
Note, while youre waiting you can throw some color on your course by dusting spray paint over the top, or adding some bushes and trees. model train supplies are great for adding that realistic look
and here's some signs packages i made in case you haven't seen them. hope this helps

If i was to do it over i would do them on a 6'X6" plank so i could make them into shelves that go around my room.

good luck with your track and lmk if you have any other questions.
p.s. do you mind if i turn this into a thread?

Killer lookin course. Love your Yota, has to be one of the nicest Micro scalers around. If I could get my projects done, I would love to do a "clone" of your truck.

Thanks, that was my first scaler. I wish I never sold it, but I'm in the process of building another.

I had the Baywatch version of the lindberg kit back when they were in production. I might have to get one "just in case". Gotta finish my micro 4runner first.

Get r done
ill be so mad if i find a 1/20 4runner after i build this "crazyblaze" clone lol

oh i almost forgot ..... flat paints, make it stone paints, and camo paints are the way to go. to get that rock look, you just dust it where you want it, you dont have to lay a solid coat of paint.

What did u use for the bumper on the truck. I don't have one yet but me and my 2 brothers are drooling. As soon as we save for them (not much longer) we'll buy 3 I want to scale and I was looking for one of those bumpers any info very helpful. Gonna need lots of help to pull off a good scaler. (PS this will be my first "HOBBY GRADE" rc had a few xmods before but got tired of all the stupid low quality crap.
