| Scratch Built Bumper
A bumper I built for my hilux, give my your opinions. I'm trying to decide weather or not to keep the bar in the stinger or to cut it out... Thanks |

I think it turned out awesome, good job, any pics of it mounted? or mocked in place, i'll decide on the stinger after that, looks awesome as is though.

No more pics yet, hopefully in a few hours though... This was my first one, still have to do the back bumper and rock sliders...

A quick mock up, it's not setting perfect but you can get an idea... |

Do you plan to keep it truggy or adding a bed ? If you add a bed, might get rid of the stinger, if you go for a truggy, keep the stinger. Just my 2cents tough |

I like it, maybe just a little bit more verticle angle with the body for a better aproach angle. Nice design and nice welds/brazing. What gauge metal did you use for the mounts? Nice body also.

I thought about a truggy but I don't know where to start, so as of now it is getting a bed.. As for the thickness of the mount, it is .015 brass..

| I would keep it and mount the winch on a plate there. Looks great. |

That's a badass bumper! The stinger does need to be a little less angled though, nice work!

That looks awesome! What is the tubing made of? and how did you put it together? weld or braze? |

The tubing is 3/16 brake line and I used a plumbing solder kit and mapp gas.. Getting decent bends was a pain with the bender I had, an old cheap one thats been in my tool box for years, But everything else was pretty easy.. If you're thinking about trying it, go for it...

Wow does it seem like the solder held everything well? I kinda thought solder was too soft for that. But if it held good cool. I thought about trying to make a partial exo and sliders but we will see. |

the stinger looks awesome... the bar will protect a winch from the rocks that come out of no where |
