| Lexan to styrene...
I was wondering if anyone knows of a good adhesive to bond styrene to Lexan. I want to drop a bed on a lexan body, I might want to try hide a few screws to bolt the two materials together, but I need a good adhesive to try to make it seamless. Any thoughts?

agreed. i cut up a lexan body and attached a plastic bed. went overkill with the shoe goo but it takes a beating. |

yep, shoe goo or any good two part exopy (in the syringe) that can be had at a hardware store or wal mart. I use the 30 second set and 5 min set stuff alot.

Cool, I'll give these ideas a try. Does the shoe goo and epoxy take a coat of paint pretty well?

I have never really had a problem with paint on shoe goo other then it can fish eye and there really is not a good way to prep it. also dont go crazy with it I have seen it warp lexan when someone got carried away.. as far as epoxy and paint goes I have never had any issue there and it can take sanding and prep work without issue.. most epoxy does get hard which can make it pop off of lexan while shoe goo stays flexible.. |
