Default 1.55 & 1.9 Dual Stage Foam Help Needed

Crawler Innovations is looking for some information from the scale crawling community. I am ready to have some dies made for the 1.9 dual stage foams. I know that 4.75 is the new scale tire height and I want to get that sizing right. I would like to know:

1. What brand scale wheel are you using?

2. How wide is that wheel?

3. What is the height or O.D. of your scale wheel with any lead weight attached?

4. What is the exact RTR weight of your scale crawler?

5. What scale tire do you prefer to use?

RC4WD OEM Steel Wheels
0.9" wide
Using RC4WD Mickey Thompsons and with the weight of the rig, the tire sits about 4.6"
My scaler weight 6lbs 6oz.
I prefer the Rok Loxs, 1.9 Pro-Line TSLs, and the Mickey Thompsons

This helps me. Thank you.

I really need the O.D. of your wheel with any lead weight added and no tire or foam.

The current 1.9 dual stage has a tight fitting firm inner foam to stabilize itself on the wheel. The problem is that often times people are not equipped to modify the inner foam to fit the wheel. So they either stretch the foam around the weight risking tearing it and also creating a foam that has a lot of static pressure on it making it bouncy. I am considering making the inner I.D. bigger to compensate for this with the new dies I am making. But I need more wheel specs. There are so many companies making wheels and everyone seems to do something different.

This is a real opportunity to help design something you guys hopefully want to use. An added bonus to all this, is that once the dies are made, Crawler Innovations can start offering Lil' Nova 1.9 Dual Stage foams in the same 7 different densities the Double Deuce Nova dual stage foam line already has.

Wheels are stock Axial 8 holes.
Width: 22mm/0.87inch
diameter of just the wheel: 48mm/1.889inch
not sure of diameter w/ weights, but i have 2 'stories' the lead weights wrapped around the front. and 1 in back. ***
Rok Lox (soon to be Mickey Thompson Baja Claws)

*** I have the little nova's in there now, and I dremmeled out a 'valley' for the weights to sit in inside the inner foams. it works PERFECT for keeping the foams centered on the wheels. I did have to trim about 1/8 inch or so off each side of the inner foam to get it to fit to the width of the wheel.

RC4WD OEM Steel wheels with a single wrap on stick-on lead weights are around 2 1/4" O.D.

Eddie, I tried sending you a PM, but I guess you have them turned off. Anyway, you have a 1.55 tire/wheel package on the way to you.

To answer your questions:
1. What brand scale wheel are you using?
RC4WD 1.55 Void (Walker Evans clone)

2. How wide is that wheel?
~20mm, I think. RC4WD's page lists incorrect numbers.

3. What is the height or O.D. of your scale wheel with any lead weight attached?
I plan to add 1/4" of lead weight in the groove of the wheel. Hopefully it'll sit fairly flush.

4. What is the exact RTR weight of your scale crawler?
Don't have an exact number, but I would estimate 8 lbs.

5. What scale tire do you prefer to use?
Either 3.75" Mud Thrashers or 4.13" Mud Slingers.

Thanks!
Tommy
