| Tonka Scaler Project / axial tuber
First off, im a noob to scalers, not crawling. Ive been reading through some posts and i found that metal body toy trucks make pretty cool looking scale rock crawlers. I recently acquired an old Tonka jeep looking thing that seems to be in the 1/10 -1/8 scale range. Its pretty rough, but it would look real nice as a scaler. My tuber is an ax10 whose build thread lies here, AX10 Tuber . Ive got a couple of options, 1) Sell the jeep and keep building my axial 2) Sell the Axial and build the jeep 3) Use the drivetrain from the axial to build the jeep, then sell my tuber frame. I posted here because I wanted to try to move the jeep. If i end up with the jeep, I want to know if it is better to go with option 2 or 3. Ive looked in to the process of making a scaler and it looks pretty intense. Thanks for your time, Zach. |
