| 8mm to big for a trailer ball?
Hey, so i've been looking for stuff to do a trailer, but i want to use someting more realistic than a rod end, or the ball linkage stuff, preferably both pieces metal. So i found these, but the smalles is a 8mm dia ball which seems a little a big...how big is too big for a 1:10 scaler and trailer? |

That would be a lil over 3" ball in 1:10 scale

Yep, too big for true scale. But it'd be cool on a military type rig. |

I've been contemplating getting one of those rc4wd pintle htches, It would scale out nice for the trailer Im working on. Anyone have one?...anyone broke one? It doesnt look like it would actualy hold up, not saying im gonna be dragging a trailer up the trails but I do have a lead finger some times, and for 25 bucks I'd like to know if its garbage or not. |

well on the web site is said that 50lbs max vertical load so if your don't have a mmm on 6 cells you should be fine. I'm getting ready to start building a trailer, and been looking into it as well, it's been the best option so far. | |

| Over seas, i'd have to order 50 of them, but i figured if it was to scale i'll order 50 and sell off the rest fairly cheap. @50 it cost me about $5 each @1 it cost me $55 each I guess a 3" ball wouldn't be too bad, way overkill but hey thats why i used overkillrc for my website Stats say it can have a static push/pull of 30 kg (66 lb) I'm going to look around and see if i can locate one here in the us, if they seem of good quality i'll give em a try. Worst case scenario i'll be out $250 |
