i dont know what the problem is with yours i have one mounted on my rig and it will pull my rig right off the ground, never stripped the motor or anything, the only thing i did was replace the "cable" with winch rope

take a peek at my orange crush build thread in the 1.9 section

have you heard any bad things about 3racings? I'm actually thinking of getting one but read a lot of bad reviews on the rc4wd's so I put that mod on hold.

I've had no trouble w mine either. Is it a 300+ servo winch? No. But i have used it sucessfully for atleast 30+ full weight pulls w no problems. It has pulled my rig as well as another strapped to me also.

The fairlead is not the strongest, but has taking quite a beating before actually losing a roller. The holding power is not the best either, unless under power.

I run a small 2c lipo, wireless controller. 100lb braided test fish line.

you havent even really used it and you bash it? give it a good test and then come back and give a real review.

I understand the fairlead broke off, but thats a breeze to do with rock crawling a rig, even in 1:1 if you dont hav the fairlead protected you can pop it off in a heat beat, ive bent the one on my 4 wheeler winch and made it unuseable untill i took it off and fixed it.

i have had no problems from mine i love it. but you gotta think it only has small brass like roll pins holding it in. its not hard hard fix to put it back together or for that fact just get a smooth fairhead for it that way it will look little cooler.

Yeah, I guess I flew off the wall a bit by giving a bad "review".

I apologize for that.

When the fairlead broke off I just blew my lid.

I did hook up a battery finally and it actually seems like it has plenty of pulling power.

Sorry RC4WD, I jumped the gun on my "review". It was just one of those days.
