trost 04-27-2006 06:02 PM

93yjpiece 04-27-2006 07:27 PM

Please post some more pics of your rig. That thing looks good man. And what parts did you use other than the mini z kit, tires, etc? And where did you get the mini Z?

Thanks.

well its not all together right now...I fried the fets on the board from running these bigger tires...lol too lazy to stack fets. The tires are off an xrm's (extreme rock matchine). Its a toy from walmart.I cut 1 row of lugs off them to make them nerrower and there mounted on stock overland rims. Its lifted with highly modifyed stock shocks that have lengthend springs and guid rods.Umm all the other stuff explaind its self...roof rack(paper clips),body is all cut up,and thats about it lol.heres a few more pics...

Mnster has Jim to help him out I have a this...
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...ccrwaler12.jpg

You can buy kyosho mini-z overlands at a few places on line just serch froogle or some thing(there getting kinda hard to find) most places there about 140 rtr or go to radio chack and get an evo xmod truck...I like hte overlands better but the evos are only 60 bucks and easer to get parts for...kinda.And you can make them 4wd.

or,crawler 04-27-2006 10:48 PM

Nice helper.......... but jim doesn't look that damn evil

I have to go work out in the garage because my cats will steal parts. Usually about like this "ok, I'm going to put the links together... wait a minute, where the hell is my hex driver... damn Andi, give that back!"

Yes, my cat will grab hex drivers in her mouth and go running. She also makes her own interesting cuts on the foams before I put them in. One of these days I should let her cut up the foams and just stick what is left in the tires and see how that works.

Love the Land Cruiser.

What mods did you do to get the articulation.
And what wheels/tires are they?

Any pics with the shell off.

A run through of the build would be great.

Congrats on an excellent truck

Looks sweet. I like everything on that truck, but especially the lights ontop of the body. Do you using a separate battery for the lights?

What kind of tires are those?

The damage to my Overland must be repaired now, because I shall build a scale truck, too.

trost 04-30-2006 10:57 AM

im using a 9v mouted on the shock towers, and the tires are trimmed xrm tires with trimmed stock overland rims. There kinda hard to find now tho.and it takes a wile to mount them...lmk I you want a set of 5 (one for the spare) and I can sell you some lol.

JeremyH 04-30-2006 10:58 AM

I am sure your helper is about as helpful as the model I have.......swats parts all over the place and eats plastic rod ends...

pshhhhhh thats a jeep 1:18 diecast body on the monster z

93yjpiece 05-01-2006 02:34 PM

Thanks for the replies, I cant believe how small it actually is, that you use paper clips for the roof racks and stuff. It definately looks great man. How capable is it though if it is only 2wd? Are some overlands 4wd? Cause I found some prices and they are as cheap as I would have guessed. Sorry if I missed the reply in another post.
