Figure I ought to start a thread for my junk, It's an SSMT based around a Monogram F350 Duallie. I was going to make it just a scale, big lifted duallie, but then I decided to just go ahead and make a trail rig out of it, because a 1:24 scale truck that's 9+ inches long aint real capable. So far I've cut the front fenders straight out to meet the bottom of the headlights and grille (not shown), lopped almost 2 inches off the rear of the frame, braced the frame up and started cutting to mount the trans. It's going to be running my S3003 transmission, XMOD electrics, 1:43 SSMT axles, and XRM tires (narrowed in the front and full width in the rear, to kinda make it look like a duallie still). I still need to mount the trans, build the interior (from the model), mount the electronics, make driveshafts and steering, make the exo cage and bumper for the front and any other little add ons. Onto the pics, the black marker is just where I was playing with diffrent exo designs. And it's sitting a little funny due to there not being anything to hold the axles from pointing straight up. ![]()

I didn't throw the grille on for the pics since it's just mockup, I managed to carve my thumb with an Xacto knife on Monday(1/2" long, little less than 1/8" deep) cutting something for this truck and haven't been working on it much. Thats the frame from the model beefed up a little, with super slick mt axles under it, this thing isn't as long as a nylint axle is wide. Bed from the kit wont be used, since I shortened the frame 2 inches or so, the new "bed" will be included in the exo cage. Oh yeah, and before anyone mentions it, those tires are only mounted inside out because they're stretched from being on the ssmt's stock wheels and won't stay on the inner wheels on their own mounted normal.

I kinda half *** started on the bends for the exo, I need to get some bigger diameter solder though, the .031" I've got for doing small wiring won't work for the metal. I've got some .061 I believe in my shop, going to try that tomorrow, just too lazy to go out and get it. I should have most of the bends done and a partial cage going to post up tomorrow.

Never Enough, the trucks that supplied these little axles are the 1/43 Super Slicks Monster Truck. I believe they were discontinued in the USA about a year ago. Another build with some info for you: Project: MICRO-JEEP

I didn't get mine in the original package, I found it on scale 4x4's forums second hand. I know I should get hoppin on this thing, but I have a ton of projects that I skip around on. first part of this week was working on my bicycles, yesterday and today's work was on my front drive rc dragger (no, not because of crawlerman, because I have extra parts, and haven't seen it done).

those tires are about as big as they're gonna get, those are 1 1/2" tall. The truck is going to sag under it's own wieght some, and I don't remember if I lowered it through the suspension before or after those pics.
