Default opening doors

has any one made doors on their lexan body that open and close. I want to do it to my cherokee body but its brand new and i dont want to ruin it. if so could you please post pics? Thanks

it's really tough to go doorless or have opening doors with a lexan body since the lexan isn't very rigid. Cut a door opening without adding a lot of reinforcing and the whole shell will twist and crack when you flip it.
Most of the guys who I have seen do it have custom full interiors with roll cages that the shell is attached to for support.

Most recently I saw a guy do a doorless XJ using a chopped up Wraith interior and cage. You would usually expect the interior and cage to be chassis mounted, but in this case they are perminently attached to the body and support it.

Also search for Szczerba on here, he also had a build involving the Cherokee and had the doors cut out and used styrene tubes to make a rolecage inside the body

im building an exo cage so the body should be fine and ive seen Szczerba's Cherokee. i will just try it if it doesn't work i will probably just make it door less. thanks anyway.
