| My review of RC4WD’s “OEM Steel 1.9/2.2 Stock Beadlock Wheels” Pros: -Cheap ($39.99) -White or Black coating is pretty scratch resistant -Looks super scale -Never had a issue with a tire coming un-beaded Cons: -Hex pin pocket is machined to deep, rim nut/rim may come loose.(Fix: make the pocket more shallow) -Nuts and bolts are low quality, they easily strip My overall rating is "4", out of 5 stars. **My bigger question is, When are more "1.55" beadlocks going to be available? I second the hardware being cheap. I'm now missing a nut from it stripping the bolt. |

I found a hobby shop here in Czech, and bought out their entire stock of 1.5mm and 2.5mm hardware. I have such a hard time finding it at home, and am missing a few screws/nuts on my set. Another thing to note is that the stock SCX10 hubs do not fit these wheels. On the plus side I bought unpainted wheels and they are already rusting for the desired look. Drunk |

Just email RC4WD about the cheap bolts/nuts and they will fix it for you. I bought a set and had 3 bad bolts/nuts and RC4WD fixed the problem for me. The Bolts had some of the white powder coating on them and when you tried to tighten the nut down over the powder coating it would strip the Bolt. If your not contacting RC4WD about this then they will never know it's a problem and never fix it. The white ones look great! They also come in 1.9's Last edited by grimgard; 12-04-2009 at 01:04 PM. |

i put the plastic washers that came with my AX10 kit between the lock nut and the rim so the mini bolts dont come off(fits perfectly and looks like warn hubs AXA1090). http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Axial-Rac...0-p-17031.html |

Can the holes be drilled up to 3mm, and still have enough edge margin (a.k.a. meat/material around the holes) to keep the wheels strong? I'm wanting to buy an FJ-40 CC-01 kit here soon, and these wheels look the best on those rigs. |

| I assume you could make the holes bigger. Mine hold the tire and rim together just fine stock. All I had to do was use some lock tight. If your having problems with the screws/nuts that came with the rims contact RC4WD. I did and they replaced the

I emailed RC4WD a polite and straight forward message about the 3 stripped nutz and bolts that came with my 1.9 wheels and they email me back suggesting I buy a pack of their new ones for $9.00. Not to impressed from these guys. I then emailed them back and they told me to send all the wheels back if I want to get anything replaced. The emails they send are not very friendly and it kinda pissed me off especially since they know that these nuts and bolts are having issues. Like I'm gunna tear down my rig and spend $ shipping back the wheels because I need 3 nuts and bolts. Great service RC4WD . Most of the time these guys make great products. I don't know whats going on. Last edited by Wild Snapper; 12-12-2009 at 03:47 PM. |

I was super carefull when tightening my hardware and still managed to strip one nut on each wheel. After closer inspection I noticed that there was a huge amount of slop in the nuts/bolts. Changed them all to Dubro 2.5m hardware, much tighter fit and no problems. Even stay tight without locktite and the nuts have a nice nickle finish! I love RC4WD stuff but they always seem to cheap out a bit on the hardware, I guess they get good bulk deals from china lol. |

I stripped some hardware, but I didn't bother with emailing them or buying their replacements. I just went to mcmaster and got 100 nuts and bolts. Lifetime supply for the same price they charge. No stripped ones yet!

If you are looking for something to give you a narrower track width the RC4WD Hummer beadlocks are the most inset beadlocks I have found. They are an absolute pain to put together with all those tiny screws but they look amazing! | |
