Same thing happened to me lately, I felt a strong urge to knock the dust off my 2wd Slash and paint a fresh Raptor body for it. Now it needs a decent place to play.

Damn, I wish I had a spot of land to do something fun with. One of the many ways that being stuck as a renter blows arse. Once you work in the borders and make some jumps that will be a fun spot...

ya. I'm working on a scale Erie. I've excavated a hole, re-routed my septic tank and it should be full by next summer. It was either that or some sort of Gilligan's Island theme but I really thought in keeping with the need for speed theme, it would be cool to rip through the sludge in one of those fast Traxxx-tripleX rated-as boats.

Great video, cool to see the dodge in action. The dock you added in the lake is a nice touch

Thanks Kurt. How is that big truck coming? It would be sweet to see that in action... I'll make you a scale mine field or something to drive through. Hope to see you this spring.

Thanks. Hope everyone had a good winter. We're gearing up for grillin' weenies and playing with toy trucks. Will have plenty of new stuff this year... just trying to get it all set up.

Snuck away from work early... went to the house at Wolf Creek by myself. Told the kids I would miss them... Told the wife I was going to work on the garden... told my self I was going to put polyurethane on the jungle bridge and get it out for the summer... This is what I really did.

great vid. I like the FPV of the log jump, the landing looks super smooth from inside of the truck!

Thanks! It wasn't so smooth in real life... thank god for editing software. The FPV was shot going real slow. That was the only way to make it work as my track isn't one of those smooth groomed surfaces you see in the magazines. Then I speed up the video clips which creates a problem in that I shoot at 60 FPS, speed it up x3 then YouTube takes it down to 30 FPS. Do the math and you can see that maintaining any sort of decent resolution is tricky.

Speaking of... I started using a different editing software with more capability. I'm much happier with the results:

some updates on the Camel Trophy trail. I began cutting this trail back in the winter.

I've been blessed with lots of rock... I used to not move things... but as I've shifted from cwalrers to sclaers, I've found the need to make "groomed" trails. bagged gravel & sand is getting expensive. Since this trail is down by the creek, I tried a new approach of digging sand and gravel from the creek bed. Results are better than expected... looks very natural... because it is.

The trail will work it's way along an old existing trail I made years ago to a fire ring/picnic table:

behind the picnic table is a creek with a beautiful waterfall. We head out to the waterfall and the trail cuts off down stream:

Like I said, I'm blessed with plenty-O'-rock... too much at times:

I pluck the small obstacle rocks and work around the large ones & then smooth it all out with gravel/sand from the creek bed:

and a little signage:

We've gotten most everything out in the rock garden. I couldn't round up any little truck drivers this weekend so the kids and I had it all to ourselves. I did up a new body for my TF2 & had to get some poser shots before I trash it.

We've had several problems in the past with folk harassing the local critters and some of the local critters harassing the small truck drivers so as much as I hate rules, something had to be done... So you'll notice some new signage. And, I worked the timber truss bridge into a new, more prominent location. A circle of bridges... now that's scale.

Thanks for likin'

Trying to pull all the details together for next weekend.

Fake lake needs a fresh coat of paint

Tiki hut needs a few pieces glued back on & fresh batteries for the interior lights.

Wolf Creek Shell Station will be displayable & working on grading a site for it.

Stay tuned. The Shell station is going to look sweet.

That whole setup is pretty epic. Some day I hope to do something similar in my yard. You're work is an inspiration.
