Default Axle help

hey guys,
ive been looking at making a scale crawler/mudder. i relize that TLT is VERY popular. but ive been looking into the PTI Goliath. is there something wrong with the goliath? no one seems to use those axles.

One is $200 and needs shimming/ other work to make any abuse!

i asume u guys are talking about the TLT when u say its stronger and cheaper?

you would assume correctly. The tlt is a much better all around truck, and there are also more available parts for it as well.

I have a PTI and don't use it really, it's just to small, and the clod based crawler I have is SOOOO much butter and alot more fun, but clod axles don't really lend themselves to well to the scale type stuff. I have heard of ring and pinion problems, but I never had any problems with it.
