Default Hilux Flatbed Mud Truck

I had this build up under the "Tamiya TLT" forum, but I have since changed the hell out of it and it is no longer on TLT axles. So anyway I figured I'd move it over to here.

- Stampede transmission
- Komodo metal axles
- Traxxas Shocks
- Hilux cab and grill
- Brass tube frame and aluminum links
- Wooden bed and interior
- Imex dually tires
- Narrowed dually wheels
- Integy steel drive lines
- Custom upper and lower-link mounts

Here is a brief pictoral history of my progress, up to where I'm at now:

Start of frame with TLT's:

Imex dually tires, and cutting the wheels:

Adapters I made for the hubs:

Tires on:

Putting the cab on:

Axles:

Making of the bed:

Underside:

Interior:

Anyway, that's where I'm at right now. Hope y'all like it, it's been a fun build. I have taken a long time to put it together but I don't work on it very often. I figured making a better post about it and getting some feedback/ideas would keep me more motivated.

Painted the body and grill with a silver undercoat, I want it to show through with scratches so hopefully it works if I lay enough on there:

More progress, made some gauges, steering wheel, glove box, and glued in the seat.

I'm not very experienced in bump steer myself and honestly I don't mind a little bit. Too much can be a buzzkill though. Flipping your servo and extending your link will help bring the angle of the link down a little bit. That should help.

This thing looks like it'd be a blast in the mud!
