I was planning on making a clod but i've been bitten by the bug and have decided to make a scaler. my question is, if seen some people on here run i tranny/transfer case combo on their trucks. how do i do this? i think it's really cool and it just makes it that much more like a real truck. thanks in advance!

i assume you just saw my build(i saw you looking at it) all you do is mak a short shaft to the t-case from the main tranny to the t-case. i f you are using a pede tranny as the t-case you'll have to shave the mounting portion off to make it look good

Here is one variation. Not exactly scale, but sort of, and it climbs like a billy goat. Reverse Cowgirl

I've seen lots of builds where the main tranny is a pede and either another pede or something smaller like a losi for the t-case. But I've seen just about everything used for the t-case; clod axle, Nylint axle, custom fabricated. If it were me, I'd first try a GD-600 mounted in the front with the motor. Then run a pede shafts to a Losi or Stealth tranny. Space is always an issue and those trannies are smaller than a pede but just as strong for the most part. Then run maybe Jato shafts (they're beefier than pede shafts I think) off the Losi/Stealth to your axles! Piece o' cake, right?

I believe you can get a 3.5:1 reduction on a GD-600 but a full-on tranny such as a pede will most likely be stronger. The ratio of a pede is 2.72:1; no idea what the stealth or losi is...

No idea what the gear ratio is on an emaxx tranny. Check the classifieds or check the vendors section. Multiple vendors offer pre-built pede trannies for around $45.
