I need something to bend 3/8 in solid steel rod anyone use one of these?

we have one of these where i work. it works really well on tubing and is built well enough to bend solid i would guess. it's pretty pricey though. here's a link.

Honestly you should do a little hunting on how to make you own it will serve you much better because all of the one that I have seen that you could purchase don't have a very small diameter.

Swagelok is a very solid manufacturer but over priced IMHO.
Those tubing benders also are not designed to get tight radius bends close together so it will limit what you can bend.
A vise mounted pin & hole type bender gives you many more options & is way cheaper or something you can build yourself.

why are you trying to bend 3/8 in rod?
