Default I need some help with building a truck bed

Hey everyone I'm in the process of building another scale truck Based on a custom Dtrail-13.5 By Mr. Diaz. Well i got my body yesterday its a Proline Chevy HD2500 For the LST,MGT,etc it has a 13.5" wb and is 20.5" Long. So i want to build a bed for it and noticed that in the rear it has a fake toolbox or fueltank. I wanted to make a small toolbox also and have it sit right behind the rear window. Well here is the problem: Where the rear window comes down it has a brace and it is at a weird angle, so if i was to put a bed in there it would be too small and i would have a huge gap inbetween the bed and the box. I searched for bed designs but all showed an already completed one no procedured on how it was made. If you have nay pix and could send them to me that would be awesome. I will be posting pictures myself of the body in a few hours to give everyone an idea of how that body is made.

i would take an exacto knife and cut the lexan were lower bed portion starts raise up, so that there is a little lip there for the home made bed so slip up in. and as for the braces there ehind the window i would leave those. about the gap you will have by the window. if you are going to make a toolbox for that area it will cover the gap, so i would just cut up to the top of the fake tool box in the pic. i hope this makes sense and helps.

as for the bed making part. i would wait until you have your frame and your desired ride height mocked up and finalized. that way you know how deep to make the bed. i just used a big flat sheet of acrylic, i got it from lowes i thin it was like 9.00 dollars or something anyways i made my bed with it and still have a bunch leftover. i cut the pieces i would need starting with the sides, then the front and back pieces and lastly the floor. i then cut some little pieces of angle aluminum and jbed them to the side pieces then i jbed the floor on. and then the front and back pieces.
for paint i used make it stone. then shot krylon hamered finsh black over the top. hope this makes sense i will try to get some pics for you.
