red cat axles any good? i'm thinking about doing another build and saw some ground pounder axles and trans that would work within my budget, i don't need the toughest stuff but i don't want any junk either. i have never had any exp. with red cat stuff. any input would be great. thanks. |
I would pass on those. My friend gave my son a ground pounder and the front axle shock/link mount vroke after 3 packs. My son was jumping it off a short ramp ( 1' tall). And after i got replacments he was playing by a tree and kissed one of the exposed roots and it broke the axle housing. They are made of a brittle thin plastic that doesn't hold up well in ny opinion. -sent from my smarter than me phone |

Re: red cat axles any good? yeah, i searched around after getting it, and found almost everyone had the same problems with them..there is a guy who makes braces for the front and rear out of aluminum...but by the time you buy those, you could have a good set of axles already..and have no worries about them holding up.. |
