my future 1.55 rig: the napa s10

this is just in the planning stage right now but wont get started for a couple months as i want to get my 1.9 crew cab ford rig done first but i have been searching for a set of axles for awhile now but cant seem to find any that arent ridiculously priced..

here's the plans for this rig..

-1.55 steel rims
-1.55 trail stomper tires
-scx10 chassis
-scx10 trans/skid
-toss in some electronics
-scx10 shock hoops
-axial driveshafts
-links made by me
-3 link front/4 link rear

dimensions of the body are wierd as its a narrow friggin body.. its 5" wide and a 9" wheelbase, so of what i've figured out so far is that the scx10 axles are too wide and the GCM axles are too. the K44 axles are perfect but are $149.99 for the front and im sure a little cheaper for rear as it doesnt have knuckles and all that other crap...

im looking for the cheapest option, i could "piece" this rig together but it would be a lot of money or i could buy a kit like the trail finder 2 and rape the axles, shocks, wheels/tires. im wanting to go more on the scale side for this rig as i already have my 2.2 ax10, 1.9 crew cab and some go fast rigs.

so if you guys could suggest something that would be awesome. if i had to buy the K44 axles then thats what i will do and see if i can scrape up the axial stuff.. here's a few pics of the body i will be working with, as i said before this rig wont happen for a while so i gonna take some time and plan it out a little so when i have the cash and nothing else going on i can just order a bunch of crap and start building.

You need a set of MRC axles under that thing, cheap and narrow, add some SDI -5mm offset wheels (pin mount) and it should come in at about 5.5to 6 inches. That's about as narrow as you are going to get.. It's 1/12 scale, so it's going to be tricky.

Is it just me or does the S10 have a Ranger grill?

The truck itself is definitely an S10, but the grill is from a Ranger for sure.
