Also there's nothing wrong with shimmimg the slipper shaft forward and sliding the pinion out a little on the motor shaft!! So yes with a little creativity and the blue monkey kit works!!

Here's my cheesy little bracket installed! of coarse this is just a quick throw together that anybody can do but, if theres enough interest in needing a bracket like this I'm sure I could come up with something prettier.

As far as all the travel questions go, here's a drooped and compressed pic on the blue monkey'd rig. Kinda hard holding it and taking a pic but you get the idea! I'll set up my white back drop tomorrow after I get the JC auto 3 link rig finished and show the travel of both!!

Give me some of your creativity! I want to switch to 3 link in front and get rid of that stupid y-link. This motor mount is awesome though I like how it is placed up front as well, keeps your nose to the ground. Hmm, in for one when funds allow , and one of those 3 link axle mounts .

this is cool!
not only does it bring weight to the front...
you can run a full interior and still work on it without an issue!
Spur/Pinion and motor would be a breeze to swap on that setup!

fully compressed

Here's full droop with a JC Auto Designs CMS kit

And full compression

And here's another rig showing the stock location of the motor vs. the new location of the motor! here it is clear the advantage the center of gravity will give you!

Got my hands on an rc4wd cms kit last night (thanx Alpine4x4) and installed it on the g6. I had to use an extra rod end ball to space the upper link away from the spur gear but it works! One more cms kit tested

What's the biggest spur gear you can fit without interference? (32p and 48p)

Interference would occurs on the upper link. With the rc4wd kit you could space the upper link away from center. Also the hand bro kit as long as your wheel base is long enough. I just put a 60t 32p on my c3.

I wish you had a version that had the motor above the chassis, worked with a 4 link setup.

That would defeat the purpose and make the motor weight high like all the other motor forward kits. You've got me thinking though! I think if you rotate the mount 180* it would achive what your trying to do. I'll give it a shot next time I'm installing one!

You can run the mount as is with a 4link. It's not hard or crazy either.

Space the axle side upper link mounts wider than stock, roughly servo width.
Then put a slight bend in the uppers as needed.
