My last house I built a rc track in my back yard and that is so so much work.. im sure you know..I worked for 6 months perfecting it and ended up with a great track had a nice double a table top and the coolest was a downhill jump..I had started on my scale section but ended up loosing the property..so much work gone..it was a everyday job just to maintain it..your setup here looks awesome ..

I'm fortunate to have the space. Wish the yard wasn't so flat though! No toy truck comedy yet but I have a helpful tip. I stumbled upon this when I was staining the rope bridge with steel wool soaked in vinegar. I noticed it left rust colored stains on the rocks below where it dripped. Hmm, kinda like iron oxide in sandstone. So the other day I made some more concrete cliffs on the back of the mountain and stained it with my steel wool/vinegar solution. The random effects of color are perfect and it's a fraction of the cost of concrete dye. Just thought I'd pass this along.

Awesome! That's a good chunk of space. This is probably half of that. It's autumn at Smiggin's Folly. The new grass is starting to fill in and the leaves are falling. Maybe I'll make a new video today after I finish the yard work.

| Re: Welcome to Smiggin's Folly The other one is at my parents place and it's still there. I transplanted all of the trees to this one though. The rocks stayed. I still have the house so I should probably put it out. I have plans to build a few buildings this winter.

| Re: Welcome to Smiggin's Folly I know that everyone likes to add rumor to their posts about the builds that you do, but I honestly think that you did an outstanding job of making your turk park look like a nicely thought out addition to your yard instead of just a pile of debris. Great job! |

| Re: Welcome to Smiggin's Folly I really appreciate your comment. My #1 goal was to make it look visually appealing. Not just on the toy truck level but to add interest to the landscape and make it tasteful. You won't see any chunks of old sidewalk, firewood and corrugated pipe strewn about here. Thank you. There's a lot more fun to come.

To keep this thread thoroughly confusing I'm jumping back to Pappy Smiggin's house. I added frames around the windows and it really makes a difference. The kit does not come with such. I also added a vent thingy on the side. |

Other RC parks may have a single story outhouse or no outhouse at all, but Smiggin's Folly has a two story outhouse. |

Nice work! Great natural looking layout with the concrete sculpted into the landscape.
