This place is just awesome. I first saw your place on facebook i feel like a few years ago. Just inspired me to try and make my truck as scale as i can and someday have something like that. Great job, props to your dedication. Nice job on the Jeep as well, i was watching some of the progress and didnt even realise id missed so much. Nice job on the rear window. Makes it that much more realistic.

At about 2:29, looks like you have a broken right shock mount on the axle. Can't get much more realistic than that

My bad, it was the exhaust pipe hanging

went through all 39 pages on sbg and every one here.... This is amazing creation my friend. I recently purchased a home with almost 2 acres of yard. I have started the tedious process of convincing my wife that a man made miniature mountain landscape with a working river and waterfall going into an in ground pool is not only a good idea, but HER good idea... I shall post updates

You're still posting so you must have paid the $50 fine for the jerp...

the camper needs a couple of touches...blue tarp covering the roof with scale cement blocks holding it down, an awning or cover (pole barn with shingles), and foam board or tin insulation around the bottom. I live in WV so I know all of these to be true.

He lives in the southern part of the state, don't let his people stand for us all, I'm civilized up here in Fairmont, we got running water, electric and everything. I wear shoes most days.

Drive 5 minutes out route 50 and you'll see a camper exactly as I described.

Doddridge and Ritchie counties don't count against us native west virginians... those campers are inhabited with Texans and Oklahomans

I just spent about and hour reading these posts, laughing to myself until the wife asked what was so funny, and getting thoroughly inspired to up my game on my little backyard course. And, the way you’ve done it up, even my wife thought it was cool. I took her compliment on your course to commence free reign on my own!

Gone midnight over here, spent over an hour reading through this.
I have to say, that's the best build I've ever seen without wheels.

Glad I could inspire. Best of luck with your backyard.

I appreciate it, thank you very much.

Uncle Albert has been building a log cabin. Not sure if it will actually make its way to the Folly but it will end up somewhere in the yard. Or maybe portable for events.

Hey Albert, the bottom starter log should be a 1/2 log lengthwise, flat side down. And did you cut out slots for the scale screw jacks? If not it's gonna be a 'leaner' when it settles. LOL. Cups and scribing looks dang good though!
Year after year this gets better and better.
Thanks for the fun!

It does have a half log for starter. Let it lean, it’ll be more rustic. Cheers!

I ran out of timber but this is how far I am now

Are you going to cut the opening for the door after you get the walls finished?
