Sorta. Im startign from scratch. did not have an scx10 to start with so parts are coming in from everywhere ;)

should be receiving my axles and whatnot very soon. then i will making my build thread.

i have been leaning towards 1.9 with a 4.7 4.75 tall tire. very hard to decide yet on that.

possible u can post some flex shots with the body on?

Thanx

I haven't mounted the body yet. I should receive the new rodends today, once I sort out the wheel base then I'll mount the body. Will post pics then. I'm going for the lifted with bigger tire look as supposed to stock hight and tires. Man I must say I'm way over my budget lol. I just order a exo-cage and snorkel from rcmodelex. One way I'm looking at this is its good therapy and at least I'm ending up with something lol. Look forward to your build!

I really like what imthatguy did with his jeep build. Yeah slight lift, definitely not a monster truck look.

Rcmodelex discounted the cage with the protection for the light bar, I contacted them and they are building it custom.

Got the links close to where I want, I think I still want to move the front axle back .125 or less for better clearance. I used rodends TRAC7525 and can cut the end for custom size. The wheel base is closer to 13.25 then the recommended 13.06.

The body needed to move forward about .125 to center the rear axle on the wheel well under full articulation. So I cut the shock tower and drilled a new hole and gave me that .125 I wanted. I left the rear link length stock from GCM links.

Next on the agenda is mounting the body. Got a few ideas......

just seen a vid of nice 2.2 mudslingers cut to fit 1.9 rim man they look good.
kinda small, bu ti like how the tire rolls in to the rim. tread rolling on the sides. looks very aggressive

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KDL2VZgsxo too bad i cant do that

Got some work done tonight.

Started with some aluminum left over from another project.

Fabricated some brackets.

Kinda proud of this mod lol. Only drawback is with this mod can't use the rampage rear bumper.

Got another idea for the front........

Also got a light bar

Nice little mod for the mounting.
Batt seems to fit nice on the firewall.

Getting a bit of rubbing for sure. I have the largest slw hubs in the front to get the tires away from the shocks. Going to play with smaller slw hubs and shock stops. There is more than enough articulation, I can stand to lose some. Mite end up with a little higher ride hight then I wanted, I'll get it sorted, worst case I'll go to 1.9 but, I don't thing I will have to.

The angle on the front shocks was pretty severe, I had to space them forward.

Got to figure out how to hold the battery in the firewall. First time ever using 3s, really wakes up the Holmes Hobby 35t. Thought I was going to upgrade to brushless, I'm going to roll with this setup.

Got the battery secure. Cut up the rollbar that came with the jeep, it was perfect a bit flexible and used some old axial parts to make the clip holders. Also put the first sticker on.

Also mounted the front of the body again using old axial parts and more of the aluminum that I had laying around. Shimed to the perfect hight, holds great and centers it perfectly. Just need to shape and paint the brackets and I check that off the list.

Took her for a quick spin around the yard, she crawls and climes awesome. Will dial in the ride hight, wheel spacing and shocks, should have next to no rubbing. Sticking with the 2.2.

Since I hinged the rear can't really use an aftermarket bumper unless I mount it the the body somehow. If it can be done I'll figure it out.
