Default Stupid Question about 1:1 Exhaust

Ok, where do most people route exhaust in REAL crawling? I looked at countless pics and cannot see where they ran it in any of the pics.

I want to do exhaust on my G6, but only how it would likely be done in a similar 1:1 vehicle.

Thanks!

Generally along the inside of one frame rail, then hump over the rear axle and turn out the side, or out the back.

I've always followed the stock route until it gets past the transfer case, where the area under the vehicle starts to open up and you have a little free space to work with. That's where obstacles (tree roots, stumps, rocks, etc.) always seem to find themselves getting caught up. That's where you would start to hug the frame rail until you get to the rear axle or just past it. From there it varies depending on the vehicle and user choice. I've just angled a piece down just over the rear axle. If you do like I do, just make sure it's up high enough that the axle doesn't touch it while articulating.

as high and tight as possible and out of the way. above the bottom of the frame is why you almost never see it. take a look at pictures of flops. then you see the routing.

On my jeep crawlers I've always ran it up as high as I can get it and out of the way of the control arms/ links. Then beside the tcase and tranny and dumped right after the skid plate. Go back any further than the skid and it never ended well and got in the way. Plus to many bends = loss of power. Always ran a short can shaped muffler. Almost like a honda fart can. Just my opinion
