There is one at Walmart that is close to that, not a true 715 with ragtop and all that, but sorta similar, but it is huge.

If U could find a Wagoneer, 1st gen. Cherokee, or Honcho body U could cut it down. Making the flairs would be eazy, and the bed would be eazy as well. Don't know right off if any of those are out there, but it's worth checking into.

Oh, that'll be fun You've got a lovely collection of stepped panels, compound curves (not too many, but a few) and overhangs there. Should be a challenging build for sure. Check out my Aero-Scout thread for the materials and techniques used. I'd build it in layers, starting at the top of the doors and building up 3mm layers with each step, so the bottoms will be 9mm thick, plus the epoxy layer. Don't forget to taper the panels a bit so it doesn't look like this / \ when you're done. You'll want to build D-shaped formers for each side panel to get the bottom to tuck under. Soft top should be fun, too. I suck at sewing. Good luck with that. The bed will be easy, you can knock that out in a day or so, but the fenders will be tricky. You might want to do them in thin aluminum. One hell of an ambitious build. Go for it, and remember: measure twice, cut once. |

I think Dirk had a Honcho body in one of his posts not too long ago, maybe he has another tucked away in his sock drawer? If not, good luck on the custom build. I'd almost build it from tube and throw a skin on the tubes. Doesn't look too bad, depends on how perfectly you want to replicate it.
