Default looking for a new kit need some pointers.

so ive come to the realization I need a new build. heres what I already have at home.

2 wraiths
2 scx10's
sc10 2wd
tc4

I really want a new kit to build something scale, and crawler oriented or id go get a tekno sct. price isn't really a concern of mine, nor is vehicle performance for the most part. I just want a good fun build. I can make stuff from scratch but ive done that to the last 2 scx10s ive got.

ive been looking at the following

glenade 2 something long wheelbase version d110 d90?
trailfinder 2 lwb if I can find one.
sawback
Tamiya truck type scale rig... yota tundra ect.
anything else im missing?

ive looked at the accender and its just not for me. hardbodies are definitely a ++ and 1.5 wheels/tires kinda bum me out. I don't mind buying new wheels and tires for whatever rig I may end up with, but some kits come with just about everything I would want. i.e. the rc4wd glenade2
but they come with pre assembled parts.. sigh... need some input. also I feel the Tamiya stuff like the ccc01 is just too tublike.

im about to just go out to garage and make a go cart from old lawn mower to curb my build needs.

I would go with whichever rc4wd kit you want. Even though the axles and trans are prebuilt, it is highly recommended to pull them apart, check everything then reassemble with fresh grease and loctite. I know a local guy who didn't take the axles apart, needless to say he lost some hardware on the first real trail ride. The other option would be, finding a vendor chassis, like GCM and scratch build your own truck. That way, you get whatever body you want, you get whatever wheelbase you need, and it can be as scale as you want.

I get what your saying. I been in the scale scene for about 4 years, built numerous scx10s, CC01s, Bruisers, Tamiya Porsche's.

My current collection for RC's are all vintage Tamiyas and re release Tamiyas. I especially love my Bruisers/Mountaineers.

Look at the Bruiser section for inspiration.

What I would suggest is to get a Bruiser or Mountain Rider. Build it box art and use tamiya paint, tamiya tools, tamiya esc...

The Bruiser is a scale monster truck not a crawler, so keep it all original and enjoy it for what it is.

You will like the gelande. The problem is choosing the set. Cruiser or defender? I would change the tires out, other than that, just expect to spend a good chunk of time on the body.

I plan on doing a Beast II build here soon. If you haven't seen that yet, it is a KIT this time with 1.9s and a really cool military style hardbody.

Just sayin...
