Good things come to those who wait and so and so forth.

With that said I couldn't wait any longer for a release date or details. I needed a class 1 truck for this upcoming season and I still need time to build it. In conclusion I have gone with a Vaterra for my needs.

I may revisit this Venture kit but it won't be anytime soon, even if it is released in the next 3 months.

That right there is exactly what I have seen from numerous people... People want to build or buy a rig over the winter and get it set up for the up coming season. I have seen countless guys ask for a date because otherwise they are just going with another axial...

This.

I do appreciate that Thad Garner gave us a tiny bit of info, but then we're supposed to wait for 'official' (?) pics from the international toy fair in Nuremberg next week, then what? Get more teaser pics? I'm definitely interested in seeing what HPI has come up with, I hope its a good one. I'd just like to know more about it, sooner than later.

That's exactly it, I start collecting parts for a build in August and I am set on a build by September. It doesn't matter anymore when I comes out, I won't be buying till next fall.

Posted so we can just look at it here.

Talk about an out of the box setup for Class 1 points.

Transfer case looks promising.
Not sure about that battery location though.... #1 mod will be to move it.

Even with the battery in the back it has a slight forward weight bias. You’re forgetting the other components placement. Also missing the fact that the entire front gearbox contains metal gears.

I like the setup, especially the wire management. Anything you can share about the esc? It says crawler spec wondering what that means.

Esc looks like a HW quicrun1060. I run them in all my rigs.

Certainly looks like a wp1060. No doubt with different firmware like Axial did with the wp1040/ae5.

But why are people still using Tamiya connectors?

Thanks.

So the axle gears are smaller than the usual 13/38 right?

The motor/trans mount looks like a wheely king style vertical set-up shown below. The T-case looks cool and it's small too. So far so good. I like it.

At least that would make it waterproof. How about the servo?
