Re: Capo Rock Racer

looks cool but doubt it will hold up to the abuse of a bouncer.

Re: Capo Rock Racer

Yeah Im sure its going to weigh in about twice what a wraith does. The axles look interesting though....

Kool....I wonder how long we'll have to wait for this one?

Re: Capo Rock Racer

Id like to see them shift a bit into selling cool parts. Theyre making reallly cool kits, but the I think the price point hurts them. If they could sell some bare bones models to get the price down and then sell upgrades kinda like what RC4WD does, I think they'd do well.

I would guess the Rock Racer is 6 month out. There abouts anyways.

Re: Capo Rock Racer

Hopefully it won't be as complicated as their Jeep...just too many things to go wrong if it actually is used as a bouncer. I assume it will be 1/10?

Re: Capo Rock Racer

It looks like it uses the same scale motor and seats as the Jeep so maybe 1:8? I know they're looking at making some more cost efficient and less complicated kits. Maybe this is the first one.

Re: Capo Rock Racer

Am I the only one noticing that the front axle's castor is going the wrong way?

Re: Capo Rock Racer

Yeah I notiiced that, but keep in mind these are just early cad drawings.

Re: Capo Rock Racer

Is that the battery stuck on the back of the cage? I sure hope not.

Prop Shaft 02-19-2016 06:46 PM

Re: Capo Rock Racer

I would guess thats where the battery is intended to go. Where would you suggest? On the roof?

bilinvic 02-19-2016 06:48 PM

Re: Capo Rock Racer

Haha...up front. Bouncing requires major forward weight.

Prop Shaft 02-19-2016 06:53 PM

Re: Capo Rock Racer

Yeah I guess. But seeing how these all metal rigs are so heavy, and I can tell you the motor from the Capo Jeep is pretty heavy, and lipos are pretty light as far as batteries are concerned, I dont see it as much of an issue. Id rather be able to conceal the lipo in the back as a fuel cell for the sake of scale, as opposed to sticking it up front in plain veiw.

Re: Capo Rock Racer

I suppose they could make some sort of dash that could hide the battery, but it would have to be a small battery..... And where is the esc and rx going to go?
