Re: Trophy Truck V2.0

Had some free time and was able to get the main chassis pan finished up so now it's on to the tube work and the center diff housing I am going to be using for this one.

Re: Trophy Truck V2.0

The wheelbase will be based off the Axial score truck body. The center diff I am going to be using is a slash 4x4 with a RRP Gen3 slipper unit with LCG motor mount, Tekin HD motor and MIP rear drive shaft, Kyosho big bore velvet shocks and I might try an Align DS655 for the steering for speed.

Re: Trophy Truck V2.0

Cool dude. Im surprised your not using the Proline Big bores. Are the Kyshos good?

Re: Trophy Truck V2.0

I'm not a fan of the new Proline shocks, they don't seem to be as good quality as they used to be. The Kyosho velvet shocks are the smoothest non leaking quality shocks out there in my opinion.

Re: Trophy Truck V2.0

I see. I like my Gmade piggy backs, no leaking and plenty of dampening.

Hey mojave, you want to race this one when done? There is a handful of guys that are getting together this fall to do some "unorganized" races once their builds are done (myself included). Particulars are still in the works, just letting you know if you're interested taking part.

Have you tried the losi scten shocks with the MIP real shock valve kit in them very nice easy to work on to,, it take's some time fiddling with valve's and oil to get them to your liking but they are sweet once tuned !! I have gotten very little if any leakage out them of course you have to use the grease but just tiny bit,, I run on my SC trucks love them, hope you don't mind poking nose in your business... Where did you find those a arms ? they are awesome !!..

Haven't had much free time lately but, I am going to try this. 2 LCG slash 4X4 motor mounts, one forward and the other mounted backward and trimmed down a bit. it looks like I might need to find a shorter drive shaft also...

Re: Trophy Truck V2.0

I'll keep you posted then as info comes available. I think there are about 6-8 racers as of now. Mostly trucks, me and a buddy are 1 cars, maybe one more of buggy also if it gets built in time. Looking great so far, keep the pics flowing.
