Ebay has them you can get the 2mm hole in the ball and a 2.5 or 3mm thread for the rod. Btw what size thread is on the stock 4 links?

From what I remember it looked like 3mm, if not a little bigger. Do you have a link for those?

These?
for 1:16 E-REVO/Slash #7059, ,(7059) by Traxxas Rod Ends

The balls are tiny that are stock and 2mm hardware.

Small revo rod ends fit the stock skid but would need to drill and tap the holes that hold them to 3mm. I haven't done that yet. I've test fitted the rod ends tho. I'm not using my stock skid any more ill try to see fit it can be drilled and tapped.

Then one could upgrade the chassis side rod ends and have or use the stocks as replacements for axle side.

How much longer/shorter are the small revos compared to the stock ends?

I mounted some scx10.2 axles to the stock skid last evening. I used short SS lowers and plan on titanium uppers (on hand). Building a 10 inch wheelbase hardbody bug for the wife.

Sorry man I realized the ball links I had saved on ebay have a 2mm ball and 2.5mm thread.

The 3mm ball has the 3mm threaded part. I will have to look for something else. Or make the 3mm rod go into the 2.5mm ball link.

The 2mm ball with 2.5mm thread if they have enough meat you could drill and tap for 3mm. Its only .5mm.

Im willing to gamble on it for less than $5 for a 10-pack.

I used a trex 700 ball link before when building my 3d heli. It has a 2.5mm id an the rod i used was a 3mm Ti turnbuckle. I heated up the threads pushed them in part way and screwed it in. Tight but strong.

I am still debating building a doomsday or adding RC4wd TREX or Axial axles to my current rig. I was wondering if anyone had tried 500000k grease in the front to make it a LSD diff. I have been running mine with a broken spool for awhile. It is still quite capable but turns better. I think running a sorta lsd diff would be great in these because they are so light.

I doubt even the thickest grease would be of any help with the rounded output of the spool. Maybe silly-putty, but the LSD effect would still be pretty limited IMHO.

yea grease wont do anything even with a perfectly good spool. Grease is for putting inside a gear diff. it gets in the way of the gears as they try to turn and slows them down because its hard to push out of the way. If there are no gears, there is no point in the gease.
