@bob_suruncle...your Barrage is looking really good. The little details you added really set it off nicely. Did you trim the lower body by choice or was it necessary in order to mount the rock sliders? |

I could have made the sliders work without trimming the body but wanted more clearance on the sides | |

I got a part in and really didn't know if it would work or not. It will need a very little modification but it opens the barrage up for a ton of possibilities, what am I talking about well... Scx10 bumper mounts! Take a look at side by side of ecx vs scx10 First difference is the scx10 hole are closer Next the numb is a bit farther out but screw hole is about where it needs to be. Width is about dead on maybe a little play with the cheap scx10 bumper mount I got Finally the holes are close a little trim just a hair off and trim the numb and that opens the barrier up to all sorts of bumper choices Hope you guys like what I found. |

Good find @hillbillyrc! As you stated that opens the door for a whole whack of different bumpers for the Barrage. I imagine this mod would be good front and rear. |

Yup my thinking, but I just got a rear one and I was thinking besides bumpers I bet chassis mounted servos is possible, forward mounted motors down to shock hoops. It's good news for my project I see a vanquish front bumper mount/cms in the near future. |

This thread is awesome guys! I am jonesing for a barrage now! Guhhhh just need to sell some airsoft rifles first. Damn this ADD!!! very cool about the bumper mounts though! But also good to know a winch snugs right in the stock bumper and looks great! Also curious to see how those rc4wd internal spring shocks look when outboarded. Thats what i was going to do along with 1.5 wheels. Ahhh man i gotta get me one of these!!! |

here is my weekly update: Installed a set of Dick Cepek 1.9 Mud country's on RC4WD steel wheels to get a more scale look. Looks awesome, was able to lower the body down 2 holes on the body mounts. I did notice I am getting hung up on the diffs a bit more but that is not too surprising. I still have the Duratrax wheel/tire combo if I need more clearance under the pumpkins. Also moved the hilift to mount on the hinges for the hood. Used a couple of small black nails through the hilift holes and used some insulation I stripped off of some black wire as spacers to keep it up off the body. |

Looks good. Have you shaved the bottom of the axle housings yet? Those little rocks once gone should free up some under axle ground clearance. |

Bob that looks amazing!!!! You think those wheels give enough clearance to outboard the shocks? Or you not going that route? I was thinking of trying 1.7 wheels but might not have any clearance left. Eh, once i get a truck, that is. |

| Re: 1.9 Barrage RTR 1/10 Crawler Havent decided if I will outboard the shocks or not yet. I doubt there is enough room to do it and maintain full articulation without interference. Its on the list to try though

Even with the tall treps (4.76?) and stock shocks with trimmed limiters, I had no rub issues on shocks. Still had the contact issues with top of servo and body brace and drive line bottom out but one shock issues.

| Re: 1.9 Barrage RTR 1/10 Crawler Yea, I suppose so.... But now the hard part, waiting for it to get here. I could have drove a hour and a half and bought it but I just ordered it from hobbytown and used the $15 off coupon so it was like $165.... figured that would work for me to get back into it and hold me over till the yeti jr comes out.... |

Lot of different SCX 10 bumpers out there. This is the Proline bumper next to the Barrage. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk |

One thing I'll say is when I first started to think about the bumper mounts I had already got tf2 front and rear bumpers beside I have a bronco body on my rgt/ecx rig. Which for reference is this what the tf2 bumpers with a tamiyaish bronco body. No good shot of rear bumper cause of fitting issues with body The front is lower then it would be that just where I thought it should be. Also scalerfab make a complete armor kit that can be bought separately |

Thanks guys, this is what I'm looking at. It will allow me to retain bumper mounted lights, has a good looking stinger and is roughly 5" ish wide. Plus is winch mount friendly. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

With the barrage body that looks to be a killer bumper combo.
