Found a metal locker option
https://www.ebay.com/i/272641283880?...D1232586351853

It works in ecx temper axles which are the same as barrage axles. The temper just don't have cvd axle shafts and widerens. The locker is meant for the redcat everest16 which is the same as a ecx temper.

Do these fit for sure HillBilly? I have spun the axles in 2 lockers so far but I get them at dealer cost (pays to own a hobby shop..... actually it really doesnt ) will pull the trigger on an all metal upgrade it it means I never have to replace them again

I read on the ecx forum that its a common upgrade for temper guys which the barrage has temper axles in it. Only difference is the extended axle stub axle in the barrage.

Here is what the stock redcat locker looks like.

I host on ImgBB, it's worked for me so far.

While I'm at it, my update so far is...no update. Axles shipped from ATees hasn't shown up yet, ordered them locally thru Hobbytown...a week ago. No problem, though, my 3D printed body mounts should be around at the same time! Fingers crossed....

how about an update?! Still lots of work to do but looking like a truck! bed is sitting right on the framerails so I have to find a new home for the ESC and RX.... might put them on the battery tray and turn the battery sideways. Also have to finish painting signals, installing lights and changing up the rear suspension as there is no room for the rear body mounts where the shocks bolted on.

Anyone seen this yet? Its the new ECX Barrage Doomsday. Looks completely ridiculous .... BUT..... they changed the axles to outboard the shocks and get rid of those huge wideners and they have removed all those extra bits on the axle housings making for a smoother lower profile axle .... so I have already pre-ordered all the bits to swap the axles

I saw that last night, never got past the body to read about the axles. Can't decide if I hate it or love it. That Yota you're workin on is beautiful by the way! I'm working on a Tamiya Hilux for mine to hold me over until I figure out how to scratch build a 2nd gen 4Runner. I found this thread when I was researching buying my Barrage and have been lurking ever since. Thank you all for the great information found here. My truck's not scale so I didn't want to post pics here but I will be joining the conversation.

Had to search the doomsday.

Noticed I few things beside what bob said
It's actually 4 linked and the motor pinion size is 22t instead of 16t wonder how it will run being the same size motor.

I was looking at the pics and noticed those items you pointed out, as well as the 390 motor. I checked the specs and the width of the truck is listed as the same as the regular Barrage. I don't know if they just made a cut and pasted error using the stock Barrage specs for the Doomday version or if they did something to make the wheels appear to be widen to accommodate outboarding the shocks.

I am looking forward to see how well the new linkage will work and hoping to purchase those parts, maybe the 390 motor, and possible the widen kit as they become available.

I really like the Barrage, but I think is still limited and could prove to be a more popular kit if they offered a name brand body, like Ford, Chevy etc.

The Doomsday body could be interesting with all the accessories removed - grill/side pipes/window slats/bumper/rear cage/blower/etc.

Painted in another color, of course - with small/narrow wheels & tires.

"Body, Clear, Precut: 1.9 Barrage Doomsday
ECX220004"

$22.79

That looks sweet! Not sure why I never considered removing the bumpers to get the body lower. What's up with the rear shock, how do you have those mounted?

Thanks
The rear shocks are mounted to some aluminum angle leaning forward so the bed floor would clear the top of them. I am going to put a sway bar on the rear stop the torque twist.

Anyone ever used these in their Barrage. Looking for some lipo batteries for it .

I know I have to change connectors, no problems there.

Anybody know a place where they sell the accessories to that Doomsday body? Need them for a mad max inspired build i got.

EDIT: I found them, it was the ECX220000 and ECX220005 parts I was after.

Actually they made the axle tubes wider on each side to eliminate the wheel wideners, same on the new Barrage kit. (or unassembled RTR... as it still comes with all the RTR gear :p) I would imagine to use them on an old Barrage you would need housings, axle shafts, and probably wheel hexes. This is if the old c hubs and knuckles fit on them.

I am actually pondering a set of those axle tubes for my Losi Mini Crawler heh.

I saw over on URC that it's been released as a kit:
