I wouldnt trim the fenders, just mount the body higher so it clears.... it looks like that chassis is made for side mounts like most TVP are, but the studs are just too short. I would just get longer studs personaly. I had to mount mine pretty high to get it to clear without the tires eating the fenders... Much prefer that to trimming them.... |

Yep - it’s definitely side mount. Pretty sure i’m going to stay with that style of mounting. Probably need to fab up the mounting studs. They’re going to need to be ridiculously long. I’ll see on trimming the wheel wells up. I don’t want to have the body sitting too high. Other than that, I think it’ll look pretty sweet on this little rig.

That was my conundrum until we found some cash on the ground last week BTW tires cost more usually and they wear faster than spools. Last edited by Xrayray; 09-15-2018 at 12:35 PM.

I got an email from Redcat that they have them back in stock for $14.99. Don't know on the shipping though. Might be a bit cheaper than Amazon. Of course I had already ordered them from Amazon. On the bright side they sent me an extra one with the second order so I now have an extra. Sent from my ASUS_X017DA using Tapatalk Last edited by kicka91154; 09-15-2018 at 03:08 PM. |

Has anyone made any 18650 packs to use with their Barrage. I picked up a bunch of them from some battery packs I got from work. I assume one could make either 3 or 4 cell packs. I believe that they are the same voltage as the lipo cells. (3.7 per cell). Sent from my ASUS_X017DA using Tapatalk |

I just finished installing front and rear Redcat aluminum spools. I test drove it around the room but now the RX is out to receive some waterproofing. The Spektrum SRX200 receiver is coated well with conformal coating already. I don't have any dielectric grease but silicone 2 is getting packed in the casing. |

Been super busy with work, but I finally made a little more progress on the Sumo body for the MRC chassis / Barrage hybrid. Got the wheel wells clearenced a little bit, ordered 3-1/2" side mount body posts (still waiting on them). Pictures show about the ride height I'm going for. I also re-tasked the old Barrage front bumper / pushbar and the LED lights. For the rear lights, I made these little dense foam light buckets and painted the LED area silver. (I may line them with aluminum foil though.). I'll mask in the rear tail light area, and then just allow the RED LED's to shine through the taillight stickers. Anyway, hoping to have the body posts tomorrow so I can install them on the chassis, verify my ride height, and drill and mount the body. Then it's on to paint and some scale items. |

That body looks great! The width is nice, it tucks the tires in. My F-100 is a bit narrower so I really had to cut my fenders to clear the tires.

I agree Xrayray. Should have a nice little scale look to it. I just used a Dremel and a sanding cylinder attachment and kept opening them up until I was happy with the clearance. I may have to take a little bit more If I run the Rockbeasts, but these Falkens off the RTR Barrage seem to fit real well now.
