That is a nice looking model! Looking at the axles in the video, a center "pass through" axle would be a simple, bolt-together operation so a custom 6x6 with that cab would be a breeze.

| Re: New Cross RC HC4 Kit They make 6x6 kits but those axles look different. Not sure how these axles will take to a passthrough setup.

I can dig it. Good proportions, nice wheelbase, awesome body details. Sigh. Time to sell some junk. |

| Re: New Cross RC HC4 Kit Their kits are good quality and easy to assemble with great details. However, they are not rigs you could beat on like an SCX but still cool to wheel around with some degree of abuse. Would make some cool Class 1 rigs.

I wouldn't mind putting that body onto something else if I could beat on it some.

I like it! I am also in doubt if i do like or don't like Cross RC. This HC4 will convince me just that bit more. |

I ordered one the other day. Waiting is the hardest part about these builds. |

The ones I saw were pricey. Scale, but pricey. #CamBrady2017 |

New to this forum, so up-front I appreciate everyone's time on my question(s). Look forward to "reciprocating any pearls of wisdom". Just got one of these Cross-RC Kits as well. What's the recommended Servo for this unit? Thanks - Mark |

Hi folks, I am new to RC Surface. Spent the last many years building and flying multicopters and fixed wing AC. FPV was my favorite pass time. Anyway just received my Cross HC4. Very impressive, I have the chassis put together and am working on the cab/bed. I plan on making this an FPV platform. I plan on putting my itty bitty 800tvl cam on a servo about head level in the cab to give me a drivers perspective. But my big goal is to "un-bob" this kit back into a 6x6. I have a set of leaf shocks, tires etc that I need. The only other item I need is a pass-thru axle. My inexperience in this aspect of the hobby is slowing me down and was hoping someone could give me some ideas. I have emailed Cross-RC several times over the past two weeks with no joy. I was looking at their 1/12 scale axels. So if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate a fresh look. I have a nice milling machine and a friend that knows how to use it (I haven't a clue) so extending the chassis should not be a problem. My driver is in the mail and will start a build thread and show pics of what my plan is when I get him installed. Thanks in advance for any help. And hope I did not offend anyone for high jacking this thread. Tt |
